Job Title: High Voltage (11kV–132kV) Cable Jointer

Job Objective:
To perform reliable and technically compliant jointing and termination works for 11kV to
132kV power cables in ADNOC project environments, ensuring adherence to ADNOC
Specifications, HSE Guidelines, and OEM standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
? Execute safe and certified jointing, termination, and testing works on HV XLPE/EPR
cables (single and three-core, armored/unarmored) as per ADNOC-approved
procedures.
? Review and follow ADNOC-approved drawings, method statements, and cable
schedules.
? Conduct heat shrink and cold shrink terminations, GIS & outdoor terminations, and
straight-through joints.
? Carry out IR testing, continuity, phasing, VLF, PD, Tan Delta, and sheath integrity testing
pre- and post-installation.
? Comply with ADNOC Control of Work Systems including PTW, LOTO, TRA, and SIMOPS
where applicable.
? Support QA/QC in inspection requests, witness points, and final handover
documentation.
? Coordinate with OEMs, Engineering, and Construction teams for resolution of site
issues.
? Ensure tools, jointing kits, and cable accessories are ADNOC approved and traceable.
? Maintain detailed jointing logs, material traceability records, and redline drawings for
as-built submission.
Minimum Qualifications:
? ITI / Diploma in Electrical or equivalent technical education.
? ADNOC-approved HT Cable Jointer for 11kV to 132kV systems (e.g. Raychem / 3M /
Nexans / Tyco etc. qualified).
Experience:
? Minimum 10+ years of HV cable jointing experience in ADNOC, ARAMCO, or major
utility projects.
? Proficient in working within brownfield/greenfield, shutdown, and live substations.
? Past exposure to 132kV GIS/Outdoor terminations, trench works, cable tray
installations, and HV testing.
Key Competencies:
? ADNOC standards and specifications familiarity (e.g., GIS-E-04-001, E-01-002).
? Safe work practices, cable handling procedures, and HV testing protocols.
? Strong focus on compliance, traceability, and quality control.
? Excellent coordination with HSE, QA/QC, and Construction teams.
Work Environment & Site Conditions:
? Remote site and shutdown-based work with full time availability during peak shutdown
windows.
? Must be willing to work under harsh environmental conditions, high voltage risk zones,
and extended duty hours.
? Flexibility for rotation, shift-based duties, and ADNOC procedural compliance is
essential.
